The secrets to perfect retention of your eyelash extensions

At Luxelashbar, we believe that beautiful lashes start with good hygiene and proper care. After getting extensions, their longevity largely depends on your daily routine. Here are our expert tips to preserve the shine and retention of your lashes.

1. Avoid water and steam for the first 24 hours

The adhesives used for your extensions require a complete curing time. During the first 24 hours, avoid any contact with water, steam (shower, sauna, steam room) and tears. This ensures optimal bonding.

2. Brush your lashes daily

Use a clean spoolie brush every morning and evening to gently detangle your extensions. Brush from the root to the tip to prevent tangles and maintain a silky appearance.

3. Cleanse without being harsh

Gentle cleansing is essential to prevent the buildup of sebum, makeup, and residue. Use an oil-free foaming cleanser, applied with a cotton swab or a special sponge. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a tissue.

4. Avoid oil-based products

Makeup removers, creams, and serums containing oils (coconut, almond, jojoba) dissolve the glue and accelerate the detachment of extensions. Opt for oil-free, non-comedogenic formulas.

5. Don't touch, don't rub

Rubbing your eyes, sleeping on your stomach, or pulling on your lashes can damage your extensions and natural lashes. Adopt a sleeping position on your back or use a silk sleep mask.

6. Schedule your touch-ups

For a consistently flawless result, plan a fill session every 3 to 4 weeks. This allows you to replace naturally shed lashes and maintain a harmonious volume.

By following these simple steps, you will prolong the beauty of your extensions and preserve the health of your natural lashes. For any questions, our team is available at the studio or by email at info@luxelashbar.com.
